Felt-tip marker mode
Let's doodle a cartoon cactus sticker
Treat this as one playful practice round: sketch the idea loosely, simplify the shapes, then commit with confident marker outlines and bright fills.
-
01
Block the pot
Draw a squat flower pot with a thick rim, tapered sides, and a simple base line.
Doodle tip: Keep the pot wide enough to hold the cactus. A tiny pot makes the sticker feel top-heavy.
-
02
Grow the main stem
Add a tall rounded cactus stem rising from behind the pot rim.
Doodle tip: Round the top generously. The soft shape keeps the cactus friendly without needing a face.
-
03
Add cactus arms
Draw two rounded side arms attached to the main stem, keeping them a little uneven.
Doodle tip: Mismatched arm heights look more handmade. Just keep both arms clearly attached to the stem.
-
04
Dot spines and flower
Add short black spine dashes on the cactus, then place a small flower at the top.
Doodle tip: Use fewer, bigger spine marks. Tiny spikes can vanish once the green marker goes in.
-
05
Fill the desert colors
Fill the cactus green, the pot terracotta, the flower pink, then leave shine gaps and add a gray sticker shadow.
Doodle tip: Color inside the shapes you already built. Visible marker streaks make the cactus feel hand-doodled.
-
06
Pop the cactus sticker
Reinforce the existing black outlines, deepen the marker fills, sharpen the shine gaps, and strengthen the sticker shadow.
Doodle tip: Stop before adding sunglasses, eyes, or a desert scene. The pot, arms, flower, and spines are enough.
