Let's draw a fortune cookie
Treat this as one playful practice round: sketch the idea loosely, simplify the shapes, then commit with confident marker outlines and bright fills.

Map the fold and slip
Use pale pencil to place one wide oval, one center fold axis, two side-corner ticks, one open paper-slip route, three sparkle centers, and one broken shadow route.
Marker tip: Keep this first frame under two minutes. The slip is only an open route and the sparkles are only placement dots, not finished shapes.

Connect the cookie shell
Wrap the oval and corner ticks into two rounded cookie wings with one centered pinched valley, then add two pale curved fold routes.
Marker tip: Compare the two wing tips across the center axis before darkening anything. Preserve the open slip route and stop both fold routes at the valley.

Build the folded opening
Add one curved central opening, one parallel inner rim, and exactly two short fold seams while keeping the reserved slip route open.
Marker tip: Pull the inner rim beside the earlier fold routes rather than over them. Stop the right rim at the slip route so the paper can tuck into blank space.

Add the blank slip and sparkles
Wrap the route into one blank rectangular fortune slip tucked into the right opening, then turn the three centers into exactly three four-point sparkles.
Marker tip: Keep both slip edges touching the opening and leave the paper completely blank. Count three sparkles before you move to the small details.

Reserve shine crumbs and shadow
Add exactly two open-paper highlights on the cookie, exactly five tiny crumb marks near the lower tips, and the established broken shadow beneath both wings.
Marker tip: Place two crumbs on the left and three on the right. Keep the highlights inside the cookie and leave the center gap of the shadow open.

Ink and map the lucky colors
Ink only established contours and map golden yellow, coral, bright yellow, cream, and deep navy into every planned region without smoothing the paper grain.
Marker tip: Ink the slip attachment and small sparkles first, then rotate the page for the broad cookie curves. Leave visible gaps between marker strokes.

Pull the marker texture
Clarify only the established directional marker streaks, fold-depth accents, highlight edges, five crumbs, and broken shadow.
Marker tip: Follow each wing curve with the marker and keep the slip blank. Darken the fold valley more than the outer highlights so the shell reads as pinched.

Finish the lucky cookie
Complete only the established marker fills and selectively strengthen the same shell, fold, blank slip, three sparkles, two highlights, five crumbs, texture, and shadow.
Marker tip: Count one cookie, one blank slip, three sparkles, two highlights, and five crumbs, then stop before the felt-tip texture turns into a flat digital-looking fill.
